FNaF2- YOU CANT

The 3rd of November 1987.

A single mother drives her daughter aged 5, Susie to the local brand new high tech children’s restaurant Freddy Fazbear’s pizza for the 6th time in 4 weeks. The little girl had become obsessed with the restaurant ever since that first visit and the colourful characters that dwelled within.

However this time it was for her daughter’s birthday and her last visit.

“Mommy” the little girl chirped. She was the almost picture book image of a little girl big blue eyes, brown bob cut hair, bright pink dungarees, lilac t-shirt bearing an image of the Fazbear characters, missing front tooth.

“Yes sweetheart?” Her mother cast a glance in the rear view mirror.

“One day can I work at Freddy’s?”

Confused by her daughter’s sudden mature question she asked the child
“Why would you want to do that?”

“So I can be with all my friends”

Susie’s mother sighed, she couldn’t explain to a mere child that these “friends” were just highly advanced robots that could neither think or feel or generate friendship of any kind.

They soon pulled up in the car park of the restaurant, Susie eagerly fighting her seatbelt to escape the confines of the car and race off to the whimsical restaurant.

Quickly grabbing her daughter’s hand she led the child inside and spoke to the staff member on the door after having pre booked one of the special birthday packages.

After quickly being seated she turned to her daughter.
“alright you can go play, go find your friends but remember” she gestured to the brightly coloured clock that sat near the large present in prize corner “when the big hand points up and the little hand is pointing up you come back here okay”

A rushed nod, a quick kiss on the forehead and Susie was off like a shot.

“Stay near the robots!” her mother called as the little girl dashed away.

Darting around the restaurant she was looking for the main 4 robots. She quickly spotted Foxie the female build it yourself fox robot who lay with her head propped up on her hands in almost boredom due to the main attraction being Freddy and his band and the newly installed arcade, indoor soft play area.

Upon spotting the child the fox reacted.

“Hello there my little birthday girl, how old we today then Susie my dear” the robot spoke with a posh British accent, motherly voice reminiscent of Mary Poppins.

“Hi Foxie, thank you I’m 5 today” Susie held up her hand to show the robot her age.

The fox took a couple of seconds to register the hand and counted the fingers.

“Wow you’ll be a big girl soon before you know it, come give Foxie a birthday cuddle I can see you’re eager to go find a certain purple alpaca” The fox animatronic giving the child a smile as she sat upright and held out her arms to embrace the child.

“Shhhh it’s apposed to be a secret… but I’ll let you off Foxie” Susie said with a little blush as she embraced the robotic fox.

“Stay safe, poppet keep where we can see you” The fox said as the child pulled away and raced off once again as more children flooded into the room signalling Freddy’s band had finished playing.

Darting between children, staff and parents she headed up to the three main animatronics as they finished interacting with the children that remained. Freddy the large brown bear, Bonnie (or Bonbon as he preferred) the blue rabbit and Chica the yellow chick.

“If it isn’t our little chick Susie” Chica chirped kneeling as she saw the approaching child and holding her arms out.

“She’s our special chick today Chica she’s 5” Freddy corrected as the little girl was hugged by the animatronic chick before kneeling down to the girl himself.

“Happy birthday Susie” the bear said giving her a hug, the bear was renowned for being made of rather cuddly material for an animatronic character.

As the bear let her go Susie was picked up by Bonnie and hugged.

“hey my little darlin’, happy birthday have you come to go give birthday smooches to Alfie” the rabbit’s said with a chuckle.

“No I did not Bonbon! That was apposed to be a secret” Susie stubbornly huffed puffing out her now rosy cheeks.

“I’m sorry darlin’ can you forgive your pal Bonbon” The rabbit animatronic made a face that looked almost hurt.

“It’s okay Bonbon I forgive you” the little girl said with a smile as the rabbit placed her gently on the ground.

“Alfie you can fetch her present now!” Freddy called into the main corridor watching in almost what could have passed for delight as Susie’s face lit up upon seeing the purple Alpaca animatronic skate down the corridor carrying a box.

“’Ey if it isn’t my little birthday girl” the Brooklyn accent called out as the alpaca approached.

He skidded to a halt before the three other animatronics and knelt down.

“C’mon birthday hugs” the Alpaca announced holding his arms out, Freddy taking the present from him and placing it beside Bonbon, before he and Chica went to go and interact with some children that had shown up to watch what was happening.

“I get to see you properly on my birthday” Susie excitedly squealed throwing herself at the animatronic. Having only been able to speak to the alpaca and interact with him when he was serving tables or interacting with the other animatronics.

“Of course ya do, you’re my biggest fan here Susie” The Alpaca said as it released her, remained kneeling.

“Now my buddy bonbon said you wanted to give Alfie something” The Alpaca smirked glancing at the blue rabbit who was now the victim of a glare from the small girl.

“I never told him anything Susie dear honestly” The rabbit said with a panicked expression.

“It’s okay, I actually don’t know anything” Alfonso laughed as Susie now glared at him.

“Alfie that’s mean, you shouldn’t be mean to Bonbon he’s your bestest friend” Bonbon nodded in agreement.

“Him” Alfonso pointed to Bonbon, who now feigned offence “…. nah, ya wanna know whose my bestest friend, take a guess”

“Foxie?” Susie began to guess, shyly fidgeting back and forth.

“Ma, Nope not her, try again” Alfonso smiled.

“Chica?”

“My stylish chick, nah”

“Freddy?”

Alfonso let out a laugh at that guess.

“No ya silly! It’s you” the alpaca pointed to the little girl.

“Me?” Susie flushed bright red at these words.

“So what was this big secret present you wanted to give to me?” Alfonso asked.

Susie took from the pocket of her dungarees a tightly folded piece of paper, and unfolded it to show the animatronic.

It was a drawing of the little girl and the alpaca animatronic.

Taking a moment to register in the Alpaca’s optical sensors he recognised the item.

“You were drawin this at the table a couple of weeks back, ya hid it from me when I skated past, ya sneak, Anywho it’s beautiful and im’a treasure it kay” The animatronic held out his arms again for another hug to which the now beet red little girl complied.

She quietly whispered, “I love you Alfie” just loud enough for Bonbon’s audio receptors to pick up on it, the rabbit smiled.

“I love ya too sweetie”

“Birthday kisses then?” The rabbit laughed only to elate an “ooooh” as Susie kissed the alpaca animatronic on the cheek.

“How about me?” Bonbon knelt down and turned his face away pointing to his cheek.

“Nah Bonbon she only likes me” Alfonso said smugly as Susie now folded up the drawing and handed it to him, he placed the drawing in the pocket of his apron.

The rabbit stood back up and huffed .

“I still love ya, you big dope” Alfonso chuckled standing up again, slapping Bonbon on the back.

Bonbon gently slid the present over to Susie with his foot.

“Here you go sweetheart, happy birthday from all of us here”

She opened the present and inside sat a plush doll of Alfonso. Letting out a delighted shriek she ran around hugging the legs of the animatronics present.  

“I’m going to show my mom!” she ran off in the opposite direction to which she had come carrying the plush on her shoulders.

The animatronics went back to work Alfonso serving tables, Freddy’s band back to interacting with children, Mangle being built and rebuilt.

Alfonso entered prize corner and glanced around. His internal clock told him it was quarter to one; he would get to serve Susie soon. Something was wrong. The table that she was supposed to be sat at with her mother was empty. Even her mother’s hand bag was missing. Alfonso spotted her speaking to a staff member. His audio systems picking up the phrases.

“She’s never late…. She knows this place like the back of her hand… she was with the robots… “

The alpaca immediately skated off as fast as his wheels could carry him, systems processing routes around the rooms as fast as he could. He approached Foxie first.

The fox sitting up as she saw the alpaca heading toward her at speed.
“Alfie dear what is it?”

“Ma! Have you seen Susie…. Please” The panic sounding voice kept low as to not frighten the children nearby.

“Not since this morning Alfie, what’s wrong… where is she” Foxie gazed around, scanning the room, scanning the faces of the adults. Something wasn’t right.

“She’s gone…. Her ma can’t find her”

“Alfie dear, calm down she’ll be around somewhere, go and check with the others” Foxie tried to comfort the other animatronic.

Alfonso raced off headed toward the show stage knowing the band were only doing one to one interactions now until two.

Bonbon noticed Alfonso’s panicked look and quickly came over.
“Alfie hun? What’s wrong?”

“Have you guys seen Susie…. She’s gone”

“We haven’t seen her since she scampered off earlier”

Freddy came over “hey hey what’s all this fuss Alfie?” the bear asked.

“Susie’s gone missing boss!” Alfonso blurted out.

The bear narrowed his eyes.

“Bonbon, Alfie search everywhere as fast as you can it’ll look suspicious if we all leave… Chica and I will keep the kids occupied, I assume Foxy already knows and is scouring kid’s cove?”
The rabbit and alpaca nodded before hastily leaving the stage only to hear Chica’s loud gasp just as they left.

“Maybe BB has seen something….” Bonbon suggested as they moved between the party rooms, optic sensors scanning faces as fast as possible as the pair entered rooms.

“Spud? Worth a shot… she loved getting balloons from him”

The pair entered the game area which was swarming with children. Balloon boy stood out like a sore thumb amongst the crowd, he wasn’t in his usual position and had maneuvered himself to the large floor length windows by the fire exit of the large room and was facing the direction of the two animatronics, eyes flashing and giggling.

“Spud? Have you seen Susie, please” Alfonso skidded to a halt beside the humanlike animatronic.
The eyes flashed in a series of long and short flashes. Morse code. The way the animatronics would communicate if they were unable to speak.

“Where is she?” Bonbon asked

PURPLE MAN

“What is that? Spud don’t mess around” Alfonso growled

BAD MAN, TAKEN

The two stopped still.

PURPLE MAN TAKEN GIRL, BAD MAN, DANGER

That was when Alfonso spotted through the windows a man in a purple uniform walking briskly across the car park practically dragging a little girl in toe. His optical sensors flagged up this was a dangerous man.

He followed the man’s movement across the car park as he mirrored it moving along the window until he reached the fire escape. About to reach for the handle Bonbon stopped him.

“So I’m supposed to let her be taken Bon?!”

“Alfie if you cause a scene you’ll be the one they scrap! We can’t go outside, we can’t leave or we shut down as soon as we cross the threshold!” Bonbon warned.

This situation was agonising for the pair of them.

Alfonso could all but watch as the little girl turned to give him one last look and a wave still clutching the plush replica of him as she was ushered into a car.

The alpaca raised his fists and slammed them against the glass causing cracks to form.

Human staff members rushed over to investigate.

Bonbon repeated what Balloon boy had said to the staff.

A staff member rushed outside.

The car proceeded to speed off just as the rest of the staff found it.

Alfonso managed to view the licence plate just as the car sped off and began parroting the digits over and over again to the staff member beside him who frantically wrote the digits down.

Freddy, Chica rushed in the room even fetching Foxie in an attempt at diverting the present children’s attention.

Bonbon was ushered back to the band by a staff member. Alfonso was left by the open fire exit as staff frantically ran around and parents began to take children away. Alone, in silence placing a hoof flat on the window.
